Investigation, complaints, and risk
More than a decade in complex complaints and claims — across health ombudsman work, insurance, and large-scale natural disasters — taught me how to read dense documentation, apply legislation and product rules, spot fraud indicators, and explain difficult decisions to people under pressure.
That same discipline now shapes how I frame research questions, trace sources, and stress-test conclusions in AI-assisted investigations.
Public sector projects and systems
In Queensland's public safety and health ecosystem, I worked as a Project Support Officer and Business Analyst, helping design and implement systems including a statewide learning platform and new SharePoint interfaces for health and safety teams.
I ran stakeholder interviews, scoped requirements, supported organisational change, and produced user documentation — experience that now feeds directly into how I design agentic workflows, documentation, and rollout plans.
Operations, logistics, and process
In manufacturing and warehousing, I moved through roles combining hands-on work with management: warehouse and office management, computer-controlled cutting operations, stocktake, and logistics coordination.
That gave me a practical feel for bottlenecks, constraints, and how operations really behave on the floor — not just in a diagram — which is why my dashboards and workflows are built with throughput, reliability, and adoption in mind.
Teaching and communication
I hold a Qualifi Level 5 Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), covering grammar, pronunciation, lesson planning, receptive and productive skills, and classroom management.
That training sharpened my curriculum design, sequencing, and communication, and I now apply those skills to structure research outputs, SOPs, dashboards, onboarding material, and language-aware workflows for mixed or non-native English audiences.
